English Study

I have been teaching English for over 29 years and I understand well how frustrated and embarrassed you are about your English level. Most Japanese have studied in junior high school, high school, university, at "eikaiwa" schools, but still cannot speak English well. Why? Because the way you have been studying is about the language and not how to use English. I will teach you how to use English by studying topics that you enjoy. I will show you how to really think in English so that you can say what you want to say. The only thing I ask, is that you have a strong desire to learn.

Why choose to study with me instead of at another school?  I know what you need and have the skill to teach you. I have taught at junior high schools, high schools, private English schools, senmon gakko, and currently teach a class at Komazawa University. Typical “eikaiwa" schools hire almost any “native” teacher and take advantage of your anxieties with English. Most of these teachers have little experience and trust that you won’t complain because of your issues with English. I will design a study program with you and we will work together to improve your English. It will be hard because you must be responsible for your learning. If you don’t want to learn, I don’t want to teach you.
